Sonia has been in the financial services industry for nearly 40 years and made the move to Stifel in 2021. With her vast experience and knowledge, she focuses on what is most important to each of her clients and their families so she can develop a tailored plan designed to build, preserve, and transition wealth.

Prior to Stifel, Sonia worked for Morgan Stanley for seven years. She also spent 27 years with Merrill Lynch, where she served as Resident Manager of the Arlington, Texas, branch for five years.

Sonia earned a B.S. in Business Administration, Finance and Business Administration, Marketing from Minnesota State University and holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ designation from the College for Financial Planning. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends, family, and children.

Alex Grinnell

Financial Advisor

Alex is the newest member to the Ginnell Wealth Management Group, with more than six years of experience in the financial services industry. He focuses on providing clients with suitable investment opportunities and knowledge on the financial industry, striving to ensure that clients’ portfolios match their current and future needs through periodic review discussions with them. Alex is invigorated with the drive to put clients’ needs first regardless of the situation. 

Alex earned a B.B.A in Finance from the University of Oklahoma. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his fiancé and five pets. They enjoy road tripping in their camper, traveling with friends, and spending down time at home, watching movies.

Laura Fryhover

Client Relationship Manager

Laura has been in the financial services industry for nearly 15 years. Prior to joining Stifel’s Ginnell Wealth Management Team in 2021, she began her career at AXA Advisors, where she focused on retirement planning for two years.

Laura graduated with a B.B.A. from Texas A&M University and holds the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorTM designation from the College for Financial Planning.

Laura lives in Dallas with her husband, Chase, and her two sons, Jack and Beau. She enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, and is active at her church.
